Health and Nutrition Claims Seminar

This one day ausdrinks seminar provided a comprehensive introduction to the new health and nutrition claims standard. The content focused specifically on beverages and addressed topics and regulatory changes relevant for members.
The new standard is set to further regulate nutrition content claims and health claims on food labels and in marketing campaigns. Relating to high and general health claims, nutrition claims, and nutrient content claims, the new standard is a long and complex document, and the nutrient profile scoring criteria (NPSC) differs from other concepts in the code. This seminar was an excellent opportunity to hear from industry experts and advisors and utilize their understanding of the information while we are still within the early stages of this code’s adoption.

The next three years of regulatory transition is an opportunity to initiate programs for the in-house management of this standard. Whilst also avoiding costly consumer complaints, or attention from regulators, this program provides ideas for your consideration and will address your concerns.

The seminar concluded with a question and answer section with panellists
